Philippe Cudré-Mauroux

Philippe Cudré-Mauroux is a full professor at the University of Fribourg, director of the eXascale Infolab, and Chief Technology Officer of Scigility AG. He pursued his studies at EPFL (where he was awarded the EPFL doctoral prize in 2007), at the Eurecom Institute, and at UC Berkeley. Prior to joining the University of Fribourg, he worked on data management at IBM Watson Research, Microsoft Research (Asia & Silicon Valley), and at MIT.

He recently received a Google Faculty Research Award, the Verisign Internet Infrastructures Award, and a two-million-euro research grant from the European Research Council (ERC). His research focuses on software infrastructures for Big Data processing.
