Launch of the University Certificate (CAS) in Team Management in English

We are delighted to inform you that the CAS in Team Management is now also offered in English: an important step forward in the continuing education offering of HEC Lausanne Executive Education, responding to the needs of professionals working in an international context.

This launch is fully in line with our internationalisation strategy, while maintaining the same high standards and academic quality for which our programmes are renowned. Find out more about this course in our interview with Lionel Stoudmann, Executive Director of Executive Education HEC Lausanne.

Why is the CAS in Team Management now offered in English?

We have identified several strategic reasons for this decision. Firstly, there is a demand for programmes taught in English, particularly in the Lake Geneva region. This region is home to a large number of professionals working in international contexts, as well as expatriates.

Secondly, offering this programme in English allows us to broaden our audience. The aim is not only to attract an international audience, but also to meet the needs of local businesses, many of which operate in English on a day-to-day basis. In short, we have adapted a tried and tested course in French to make it accessible to a wider audience, while maintaining our quality standards.

What are your expectations of the scope and impact of this new programme?

We hope that this programme will attract talent from a variety of backgrounds, enriching participants' experience through a diversity of perspectives. One of the key objectives is to develop a multicultural professional network that will bring added value to the participants.

In addition, we aim to strengthen the academic and professional recognition of this programme, while maintaining high teaching standards. Finally, this launch is part of our strategy to diversify our offering, capitalising on the success of the French-language version.

What differences and similarities do you see between the English-language CAS in Team Management and the French-language version?

The content and teaching objectives are identical in both versions. We guarantee that the skills and knowledge acquired by participants will be the same, whichever programme they follow.

The main difference is obviously the language. However, it is important to note that this may influence the composition of the classes. We anticipate that the English-language version will attract more participants working in multinational companies or coming from abroad, while the French-language version will be attended mainly by professionals from SMEs in French-speaking Switzerland and public administrations.

A new milestone in our internationalisation strategy

This launch marks a key milestone for HEC Lausanne Executive Education, paving the way for new opportunities for professionals working in international environments. We are convinced that this initiative will meet the expectations of a diverse public, while maintaining the academic excellence for which we are renowned.
