Corporate finance focuses on investment, financing and distribution policies. The aim of the module is to provide the tools needed to analyze these policies and determine their effects on company value.
Presentation of the program
This short program approaches the practice of corporate finance from the point of view of the corporate practitioner and the banker. It begins by covering fundamental concepts such as net present value and the internal rate of return. Next, the program offers an analysis of corporate financial policies and their effects on company value, focusing in particular on the effects of taxation, bankruptcy costs and agency conflicts between different company participants. More advanced topics such as IPOs and mergers & acquisitions will also be covered.
Come and discuss these challenges as part of the 3-day continuing education program in corporate finance offered by HEC Lausanne's continuing education center. Numerous applicable tools and concepts will be presented and discussed.
